Message to clients:
I enjoy supporting clients addressing issues related to: (1) managing life transitions (e.g., entering the workforce after graduating college, or becoming a first-time parent), (2) navigating stressors in interpersonal relationships, and (3) developing strategies to decrease anxiety.
I view the therapeutic relationship as highly collaborative and active. That is, in addition to developing an empathetic and supportive relationship, I strive to work with clients to set goals and adopt strategies that can improve their well-being.
Using principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I'll provide you with tools that help you manage the challenges you face. In therapy sessions, I'll provide a safe space for you to discuss and process the events and relationships that are difficult for you. Additionally, I'll gently encourage you to examine your own behaviors and reactions.
My hope is that you'll find me to be a good listener, empathetic, and respectful. I understand that coming to therapy can be difficult and, in many ways, is a “leap of faith.” I want to be mindful of that dynamic and convey that understanding. I will work to achieve a trusting relationship with each client. I look forward to working with you!
