The recent explosion of somatic therapy has revolutionized trauma treatment for clients and providers alike. With a push to access and treat somatic trauma we can often forget to start with step one; embodiment. Exploring safe and effective embodiment with clients requires careful pacing, cueing, and psychoeducation. This interactive course teaches providers how to begin discussing and facilitating embodiment intentionally. Participants will learn about the impact of trauma, the secondary gains of dissociation, and various tools to support clients from a trauma and neurobiology informed lens.
Beginning Embodiment with Clients has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. Attunement Counseling & Wellness Collective is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-5409. This program is being offered for 2.5 NBCC credit hours.
